| July is always an interesting month for fishing. The Redfish start showing up in better numbers as the trout numbers take a slight fall. Reds will do some hearding up as trout run to deeper water in bigger bays. Some of the trout will hang on grass beds early and then fall to channel edges after 9am. The semi-schooling redfish will be very skinny through the night and early morning then move over 3-6ft of water after 10am. Of course all this depends on wind, rain, tide, current and whatever the tropics have to offer. Look for moving water and cloudier days for better boxes of fish. |
