With the amazingly low tide we have had as of late, I find it is a good time to get out and see what you normally can not see. You mite be suprised what is just beneath the surface or sitting in your favorite running lane to your hot spot. Well enough of that talk lets get to some fishing ..... Fishing has been sparatic at best some of my top boxes have been 13-16 fish that include a mixed bag of trout, redfish and blackdrum. We have kept rods bent pretty much the entire fishing trip, but out of 40-80 fish we are only able to keep an average of 1 in 5 . Those are typical numbers for this time of year with fish moving non-stop and wind changing direction some times N,S,E & W in a 8 hour trip. (leaving you looking like )
I have been targeting the channel edges near the bigger bays for trout and the dumps that run off flats for redfish. When I find some clear water with large mud clouds in it, I always try a cast or 2 for blackdrums. I have been using rattle corks with a 2 ft drop and live shrimp.
If you would like to catch some fish call me at 361-533-0982
Best of luck,
