Well.... some almost fall-like weather has hit the coastal bend and water temps are staring to cool off a bit. We have had some decent rainfall and salinity levels are starting to look a little better. We are seeing balloon tides (typical of this time of year) which has the fish scattered somewhat.
Now to the real deal. Redfish are schooled up in many areas and a hard fast after finger mullets. If you are a plugger try using Devil eyes in chartruse or weedless spoons, they should work well with schooling redfish. Now that the wind is starting to slow a bit finding schools should be a little bit more user friendly. If tis is not your cup of tea try fishing tight to the windward side of small islands using either live or cut mullet for scatered Redfish.
